Jane Street OCaml Workshop
March 24, 2018 @ 10am-4pm.
Space is limited, so please register by Friday, March 16th.
How long have you been programming?
years or more
Do you have any prior experience with functional programming?
Do you have any prior experience with OCaml?
Yes, and I would be interested in an advanced track
Yes, but I'm still interested in attending a workshop that assumes no prior OCaml knowledge
Are you currently employed or in school? If so, where?
If you don't currently hold a software job, please tell us about one of your software projects (a link is good enough).
We will send you detailed instructions later, but the gist of it is:
- You'll need to bring a laptop running some form of UNIX (Mac or Linux will work fine, as will a VM on Windows or WSL)
- You need to take some time in advance to figure out how to install some things, mostly opam, the OCaml package manager.
- You need to do some setup work to get a text editor that supports OCaml well. (if you don't have a preference, we'll help you out getting Visual Studio Code set up, which is cross-platform and easy to set up)
I understand the above prerequisites, and will satisfy them once you send me the details!
