2020 MSLA Service Award
Recognizes a member of MSLA who has made significant contributions to MSLA by serving on the Executive Board and/or on Task Groups.
DESCRIPTION: This award honors an MSLA member’s commitment and dedication in service to MSLA.
CRITERIA / ELIGIBILITY: This individual has an extensive record of active participation on the MSLA Executive Board and/or task groups.
The nominee must:
*have been a member of MSLA for a minimum of 5 years.
*have served for at least 5 years on the MSLA Executive Board and/or task groups.
*hold state certification as a School Librarian or a MLS degree.
APPLICATION / NOMINATION PROCESS:
*Complete the online nomination form.
*The nominee must submit a work history/resume.
A member of MSLA may nominate another member of MSLA. The MSLA Executive Board will vote to present this award to a deserving individual. Up to three awards may be given, but this award will not be made if a suitable recipient is not nominated. E-mail all supporting documents by the deadline to
AWARD: Plaque. The Awards Committee will notify administrators and send press releases to state and local newspapers.
*Write an article for the MSLA Forum (coordinated with the MSLA Forum editors).
*Submit a photo for use on the MSLA webpage.
