WTG: Seeking creatives
WTG VISION

The pursuit of excellence and innovation in performing arts through community engagement

WTG is seeking expressions of interest from people interested in either forming or being part of production teams.

We are keen to hear from people with ideas and enthusiasm.  WTG welcomes both new and experienced production people.

WTG Events:

January: Family friendly show in our own home ('The Shed') at The State Coal Mine

The aim of this show is provide fun for families whilst giving an opportunity for new and experienced casts/production teams to blend together in a less formal venue than the Arts Centre.  Must be available to rehearse November and December.  Original works are welcome.  Potentially a festival of smaller pieces is welcome due to the small cast numbers that The Shed can accommodate.

*NB The Shed accommodates for a cast size of approximately 15 or under

February: A Concert (Arts Centre)

Want to try directing but wish to start small?  Maybe a concert with a blend of songs, skits, parody is for you?  We would also welcome anyone with ideas from a traditional concert format to our Bend It Like Broadway format. (role reversals) and everything in between.  All ideas welcome!
Rehearse in December/January.

May/June: A Major Musical (Arts Centre)

The WTG is proud to produce a musical each year of high quality, involving new and experienced cast and crew members.  We are looking for people with a musical they are passionate about to bring us their vision for us to produce.  WTG would look favourably on a musical involving children but welcomes other ideas also.  For the next 2 years we are interested in bright, fun and uplifting shows as we continue to move beyond the pandemic.

Rehearsal period Feb-May, 3 times a week
Pre-production period, second half of preceding year.

September/October A play or small ensemble musical

All ideas welcome as well as original works.  Contemporary pieces encouraged but not mandatory.  This would be in our home ('The Shed') at The State Coal Mine

*NB The Shed accommodates for a cast size of approximately 15 or under
