Mural Arts Philadelphia is seeking applications from BIPOC led Environmental Justice organizations interested in being part of our new Art & Environmental Justice Co-Learning Initiative called Strength Through Solidarity.
The primary goal of Strength Through Solidarity is to support participatory public art processes to advance environmental justice goals and strengthen long-term advocacy work in front-line communities. The Mural Arts Institute will accept three organizations into this multi year program, providing each with a range of tools, supports, learning opportunities, and funding.

Responses can be submitted in written or video formats and should adhere to the following guidelines:
If providing written responses, please do not also send a video.
For the narrative portion, you have the option to submit a video presentation instead of a written statement. This does not need to be professionally produced as it will not impact how your application is evaluated. Please be succinct. Please provide a link to a short digital film using YouTube. Set the Privacy Settings of your video to public or unlisted. Length should not exceed 10 minutes.
Responses to these questions must be in English.

Please submit as PDF attachments (not included in the body of the e-mail) and include “Strength Through Solidarity_Name of your organization” in the subject line.- Letter stating your 501(c)(3) status (if applicable)
- Letter from the fiscal sponsor outlining their commitment to our values and their support of your organization and this initiative (if applicable)
- Include up to 3 Letters of recommendation from community groups and/or city or state stakeholders (optional).
Please submit ALL responses no later than 6 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time on Monday, July 24th, 2023. You will be notified as to whether or not you were selected by August 21st, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. ET
