Cornerstone Award Categories and Qualifications

Outstanding Local Corporation
● Strong record, both quantitatively and qualitatively, of charitable contributions in the community
● Has shown motivation, encouragement and partnership of the philanthropic sector
● Operates its business only in the state of Nevada

Outstanding National Corporation
● Strong record, both quantitatively and qualitatively, of charitable contributions in the community
● Has shown motivation, encouragement and partnership of the philanthropic sector
● Operates its business regionally or nationally (is not limited to only operating in Nevada)

Outstanding Foundation
● Strong record, both quantitatively and qualitatively, of charitable contributions in the community
● Has shown motivation and encouragement of the philanthropic sector

Outstanding Philanthropist (individual or family)
● With a proven record of exceptional generosity
● Who has demonstrated outstanding civic and charitable responsibility through direct financial support
● Whose generosity encourages others to take leadership roles toward philanthropy and the community

Outstanding Youth Philanthropist (individual, group or family, up to 21 years old)
● Demonstrates outstanding commitment to the community through direct financial support, development of charitable programs, volunteering and/or leadership in philanthropy

Outstanding Fundraising Professional
● Has at least five years of professional fundraising experience
● Is a member in good standing of AFP
● Has demonstrated the ability to bring in substantial contributions to their organization
● Practices his/her profession in an exemplary manner
● Has demonstrated strong personal leadership qualities

Outstanding Gift Planning Professional in partnership with Planned Giving Roundtable
● At least five years practicing gift planning
● Is a current or past member of the Planned Giving Round Table of Northern Nevada (PGRT)
● Demonstrated success in inspiring others to incorporate gift planning into their charitable giving or work (either with clients/donors or educating other professionals)
● Has grown or developed a culture of gift planning at their organization
● Practices his/her profession in an exemplary manner
● Has demonstrated strong personal leadership qualities

Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser or Fundraising Group
● Has demonstrated exceptional skills in coordinating and motivating groups of volunteers for one or more significant fundraising projects for the benefit of charitable institutions
● Shows a personal commitment to the advancement of philanthropy
