Open to non-formal educators, teachers, and others interested in helping students understand the strong connections between food, land, and people! Project Food, Land & People is a national science and social sciences-based curriculum with 55 hands-on, interdisciplinary lessons that cover subjects ranging from environmental science and stewardship to human populations, health, and land use issues. FLP follows the new K-12 science competencies in the NC Standard Course of Study as set forth by the North American Association for Environmental Education.

This event is sponsored by Buncombe, Burke, and Swain County Soil & Water Conservation Districts. Registration is FREE! Participants can earn .6 CEU or 6 hours toward NCEE Certification. Want 10 hours? You can choose to do homework to earn more credit!
