Register to the NEMO Webinar "Cross-border cooperation: EU funding insights & Creative Europe spotlight" taking place on Monday 18 May 10:00-11:00 CEST.
This NEMO webinar introduces the fundamentals of cross-border cooperation and the EU funding opportunities available to museums. Two experienced speakers will share practical insights and strategies gained from years of overseeing, participating in, and consulting on EU‑funded projects.
The session takes the NEMO toolkit “Cross-border cooperation. From a project idea to a successful proposal” as its starting point. Published to support museums in accessing EU funding and expanding their international activities, the toolkit remains a valuable resource. Since its release in 2021, a new EU funding period (2021–2027) has unfolded, bringing changes and new opportunities. Its author, Margherita Sani will revisit the toolkit’s core principles and recommendations in light of current programme developments and emerging challenges.
Lea Stöver will present how museums can benefit specifically from Creative Europe Culture, the only EU funding programme dedicated exclusively to the cultural and creative sectors. She will outline how it supports collaborations among European cultural organisations as well as mobility opportunities for individual artists and cultural professionals. The webinar will highlight two relevant funding schemes - European Cooperation Projects and Culture Moves Europe - and demonstrate how museums can engage with and apply to these programmes.
Join the NEMO Webinar for practical guidance of bringing a project idea into a successful proposal and tips on accessing EU funding through cross-border collaboration.
