2025-2026 Chicago Urban Fishing: School Program Interest Form 
Thank you for your interest in the Illinois Urban Fishing Program! Jonathan Schlesinger, the coordinator for the Urban Fishing Program in Chicago, is eager to learn more about your students and goals for participating.  Time permitting, Jonathan is available for in-class presentations and fishing experiences at Chicago Park District lagoons.  All programs are free to students/schools/teachers. Thank you for helping us understand your goals and start the process of scheduling a program.  

Did you know that the IDNR hires Chicago teachers every summer to serve as fishing instructors (aka Conservation Education Representatives)?  We are looking for educators who are interested in teaching young Chicagoans about fishing and conservation. If you are interested, please visit work4.illinois.gov to review any current openings. Tip: these openings typically appear in December and close at the end of January or February.
