Social Media and Marketing

The Social Media and Marketing team will be responsible for advertising Iconoclast's events and publications and ensuring that even during less busy times of the year, Iconoclast exists as an online platform that benefits UWO artists. They will keep Icon's social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) active throughout the year, scheduling regular posts, requesting and setting deadlines for graphics from our Graphic Design team (or designing their own if they can) to co-ordinate advertisement posts, and create promotional campaigns. It is important that you be able to maintain a consistent tone that matches the overall collective and publication.

The Social Media and Marketing team will also be responsible for all advertising outside of social media, such as: reaching out to organizations on and off campus for publicity opportunities, being in communication with Western Radio & TV for events promotion and call for submissions, and building sponsorship opportunities. Time commitment varies depending on events and publication schedule, but there will be at least one mandatory staff meeting per month and you will be required to share our promotional Facebook posts.
