A hallmark of Jesuit education, “Critical Reflection” asks students to consider how their learning intersects with the larger world, their personal experiences, and their deeply held values. While making meaning of their learning, students inside and outside the classroom may disclose elements of their lives that require additional support. Therefore, how does student disclosure fit into the classroom and how do we (or faculty) respond?
