Do you Require BCA Membership?

British Caving Association membership allows us to be covered as a club with liability insurance, and is a requirement for both the club, and all members who wish to engage in activities with us.

Why do we need this?

From time to time, we may need to notify landowners of our presence, and provide information that may include the number of vehicles attending. In order to avoid any issues, we ask that any members driving to locations independently, please provide their registration for us to complete any administrative requirements.

If you do not own a vehicle, please skip this question.

Disclaimer: We do not provide any type of vehicle insurance cover as a group. All drivers are responsible for ensuring their policy is valid and covers Social and Domestic elements. If, in the event of arranged activities requiring carshare or multiple pick-ups, are organised, we will require members to provide a valid driving licence, proof of insurance policy and we may run checks to ensure your vehicle has a valid MOT and is currently taxed.
