2019 CSA SUMMER ART SCHOOL REGISTRATION

ONLINE REGISTRATION PK-12TH GRADE. Please read all this information before registering.
A Wait List may be open for some grades. We call from this list as we receive cancellations.

The Community School of the Arts (CSA) by Women in the Arts Inc. welcomes students in grades PK-12 to the CSA Summer Art School: "Island Under The Stars" at the Hiawassee Library.

This summer session we invite you to "travel" to Puerto Rico and create a variety of fine arts projects inspired by a legacy of past and contemporary artists, with a spotlight on contributions by women artists. Projects include drawing, painting, mixed media, origami, photography, design, architecture, and sculpture. A STEAM focus integrates into the curriculum connecting art, physics, and astronomy. Instructors are experts in their specific field.

The program is designed for students that are able to attend ALL workshops or with a maximum of 2 absences on these dates: SAT. JUNE 8, 15, 22, 29. JULY 6, 13, 27 (Art Exhibition).

Time: 2:00-4:00 PM for students in 3-12 grade | CSA Studio
Time: 2:00-3:00 PM for students in PK-2 grade | CSA Art Lab

ART LAB is a parent-student experience, where the student accompanied by an adult family member, creates an art project and explores various art activities.

Cost: FREE

This registration enrolls the student for all the dates listed above. The program has LIMITED spots for each group: elementary, middle, and high school. A WAIT LIST will be made available as needed.

Classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis for new and returning students EXCEPT for returning students with more than 2 absences from the prior semester who are automatically placed on the WAIT LIST.

Tuition and supplies are made free, thanks to contributions from private donors at Women in the Arts, Inc.; West Orange Foundation: C101 and Leadership Alumni; Studio T; Suntrust Bank Employee, and Fiske Co. This summer session is dedicated: "In Memory of Arnene Owens" and presented in partnership with the Hiawassee Library.

ATTENTION: An automatic receipt will be shown after you submit your form. Notification of acceptance into the class will be sent to the email you provide within 5 business days. Students on the wait list will be notified in the order they signed up, as cancellations are received.
