Purse with Purpose Program 
Shop: Where are all the shoppers?!! Take your love of shopping and use it for a good cause. Each month we purchase an average of 225 practical products and we need your help shopping for those products. You will be trained to shop for the proper products, a product list will be provided, including all forms of payment.

Commitment: Monthly
Time: 1 day per month based on your schedule
Requirement: Transportation
Package Products: Once we have purchased the multitude of products, we need to package them all because we believe presentation is everything. This is an onsite opportunity as all products are packaged at our office/warehouse located at The River Church. You will have everything you need to create a beautiful gift that each deserving woman will be blessed to receive.

Commitment: Monthly
Time: 1-2 days per month as required
Requirement: Volunteer onsite
Deliver: Once the handbags are filled with the packaged products it’s time to deliver each thoughtful Purse with Purpose to the proper nonprofit recipient. You will gather the destined handbags, load them in your car, and be a Power to Act Representative dropping off your batch of handbags. With handbags in hand, we guarantee you will be welcomed with a grateful smile!

Commitment: Monthly
Time: 1-3 hours per month as required
Requirement: Transportation
Monthly Meal Program 
Meal Coordination: This is the opportunity for those looking for a regular opportunity to use their planning skills. The week we host our Monthly Meal we need that highly organized individual to coordinate the dinner. You will work with the Director, create a dinner plan, communicate with different restaurants and caterers, and be in touch with the volunteer serving team.

Commitment: The third week of the month
Time: About 2-4 hours that same week
Serve: My friend, if you have a heart of service, if you enjoy meaningful conversation, if you enjoy gathering at the dinner table, and if you want to make a personal impact than come serve a meal with Power to Act. Our Monthly Meal is an incredible evening serving dinner and simply encouraging some rather deserving guests.

Commitment: Monthly
Time: Each 3rd Friday of the month from (roughly) 5-8 PM
Requirement: Background check with the Volunteers of America
Prayer: Prayer is powerful! We desire to cover the women we serve in prayer. For this reason, we need those who love to pray fervently. At each Monthly Meal we offer guests to complete a Prayer Card, which is confidentially given to a member our Prayer Team. Once you have a Prayer Card in hand, we ask that you regularly pray for the woman and her prayer request for a four week period.

Commitment: As Prayer Card are submitted
Time: Regularly for four weeks
Requirement: Commitment to regular + faithful prayer
Administration 
Office Tasks: We have a plethora of weekly and monthly office tasks for you to choose. This is for the person who has a love for systems, organization, order, and administration. We can easily find tasks that work best for you at your home, in our shared office space, on the go, or even in the school pick-up line. You will have regular communication with the Director to create suitable office tasks.

Commitment: Weekly or Monthly
Time: 1-4 hours based on your schedule
Gratitude: There is always someone thoughtful to thank, a generous business to acknowledge, and the ever present need to pass on gratitude. This is a great opportunity if you enjoy the practice of gratitude and handwriting or typing thank you notes. You will be provided with people lists, addresses, the reason for gratitude, cards + mailing accessories, and in some cases, wording/scripts.

Commitment: Monthly
Time: Based on your schedule
Technical Writing: From regular newsletters, plain ol’e letters, promotional materials, and grants there is always a need for some who has a passion to write and write well. There are ongoing opportunities to use your writing skills at different capacities, for big + small projects. In most cases you will work directly with the Director of the Power to Act to ensure our mission and message is clearly communicated.

Commitment: Ongoing
Time: As required and in accommodation with your schedule
Social Media: This is for the social gal + plugged-in gal + the gal who loves to stay in the loop! You will work directly with the Director to create relevant content, design images, post, and engage + emoji + comment + connect + enjoy our social media community. This included regular posts, Facebook events, stories, plus any other content you wish to develop (Reels etc.).

Commitment: Weekly
Time: 2-4 hour based on your schedule
