Starting in 2014, Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America, presents an event that recognizes Tamil American Pioneers in a certain field, people who are passionate trailblazers in their careers, who are paving the way for the next generation. Objectives of Tamil American Pioneers awards event are:

1) Honor and celebrate the extraordinary professional achievements of Tamil Americans in a variety of disciplines. These achievements should have been validated by professional organizations in their respective field.

2) Provide a formal networking forum for Tamil American professionals

3) Motivate and inspire younger generations of Tamil Americans.
