Description
This webinar will concentrate on recognition of Mimics of Myelodysplasia. Audience will be delivered with case studies and discussions of causative agents that result to Mimics of Myelodysplasia.

By the conclusion of this webinar, the audience will learn clues that are pathognomonic of these mimics.

The pathophysiology of the causative agents that cause these mimics will also be discussed.

Objectives
1. Distinguish morphological aberrancies in peripheral blood smear and compare Mimics of MDS to true MDS.

2. Correlate smear findings with patient's clinical presentation.

3. Discuss causative agents of Mimics of Myelodysplasia.

Carlo Ledesma, MS, SH(ASCP)QLS, MT(ASCPi), MT(AMT) is the program director for the Medical Laboratory Technology and Phlebotomy department at Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma and frequently lectures at national and state conventions.
