In order to receive the diploma seal you must have a final GPA of no less than 3.0 in your Fine Arts and Creative Industries classes.  

A minimum of 4 credits are required.  Credits can be earned in one of the following ways:
• A minimum of 4 credits in one artistic discipline: (dance, music, theatre, visual arts or media arts)
• 3 credits in one artistic discipline and 1 credit in a qualifying creative industry CTE class or separate artistic discipline
• 2 credits in one artistic discipline and 2 credits in a qualifying creative industry CTE class or a separate artistic discipline

Students must have completed no less than 80 hours of extra-curricular activities or service learning in the arts.  Activities may be counted only if they are beyond the required curricular expectations of the program(s) in which they are enrolled.  No curricular required events may be counted.

In order to receive the diploma seal, students must plan, execute and present a capstone project in their artistic discipline.  Capstones will be a presentation of a physical or digital portfolio, recital, showcase or performance in front of an audience.

Students will submit their capstone plan in writing no later than December 3rd, 2026.  Capstone students will work with an assigned mentor teacher throughout the project.  Capstones will be presented at BHS, March 30-April 1, 2027.  Following the capstone presentation, each student must submit a written reflection.  All capstones information must be completed before April 6th, 2027.
