Watertown High School Logo
Watertown High School has been without an official logo for many years, instead using just the "W". In April 2017, the School Committee set out to fill that void. Public input and engagement have been critical to the success of this endeavor. A steering committee was created, made up of members of the community, teachers, parents, administrators, alumni and current students. We asked the community to enter concept proposals, of which we received 19. Over the last few months, we have held public meetings to discuss and edit these concepts with the help of a graphic designer. Below are the final concepts for consideration. The School Committee will vote on a final concept in November. Please provide your thoughts and feedback on any/all concept options.

Concept 1: Raider and Horse. This concept portrays a Raider charging into battle.
Concept 2: Helmet. This concept portrays the helmet of a Raider as an image of strength.
Concept 3: Shield. This concept portrays both a defensive and offensive approach. The shield in a downward position is a welcoming sign, while the shield held up is a sign of battle. One student member of the Mascot Steering Committee came up with the idea to give out "Shield Awards" to students for stellar performances on the athletic field, robotics team, musical performance, etc.
Concept 4: Raider and Shield. This concept was introduced as an offshoot of the Raider and Horse, as a way to include the images in a simpler form.
