2026 NEW YORK STATEWIDE PRESERVATION CONFERENCE
Presented by: The Landmark Society of Western New York; the Village of Cooperstown; The Preservation League of New York State; and the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

- Please provide complete responses to all questions in the form.
- PLEASE PROOFREAD YOUR CONTENT. Session proposals must be finalized and include full speaker names, bios, and a complete session description. The content that you submit will be used for print and online promotional materials.
- Multiple submission proposals per person are welcome, but please complete individual forms for all proposals.
- Incomplete proposals will not be considered.
- We receive more proposals than we can accommodate. Please be advised that the conference planning team may combine your proposal with another.
GUIDELINES:
- We accept proposals on all topics related to historic preservation, but specifically encourage sessions related to themes of rural preservation, recreation, technical building preservation/building trades and local community initiatives. All panels should represent diverse perspectives and lived experiences.
- Priority consideration will be given to sessions that encompass the themes above, as well as sessions that address historically underrepresented communities and current issues regarding social justice and equity in preservation.
- Presentation followed by Q&A: 60-minute presentation, 15-minute Q&A OR 45-minute presentation, 15-minute Q&A
- Presentation(s) and panel discussion: 75 minutes
- Field session (hands-on training activity optional)

- Wednesday 4/15 - CLG training, walking tours
- Thursday 4/16 - Breakout sessions and keynote
- Friday 4/17 - Field sessions (no presentations)
