CPSA Mentee Terms and Conditions
Program Terms & Conditions
As a mentee participant of the CPSA Student Mentoring Program, I agree to:
- Engage in a supportive, non-judgmental, and encouraging mentorship relationship that is professional and respectful.
- Respect that my mentor will share as much information and knowledge with me as they feel comfortable with.
- Connect with my mentor, as long as they are engaging with the Mentorship Program, at least once a month.
- As much as I feel comfortable, communicate with my mentor about my hopes and goals for the CPSA Mentorship Program.
- Given the current COVID-19 situation, I agree with my mentee on following provincial health guidelines when meeting (e.g., using zoom if someone is symptomatic; wearing masks when appropriate).
- Communicate with my mentor about respectful boundaries around frequency and methods of communication.
- Connect with a member of the CPSA Executive Team about any concerns regarding mentorship conflicts or challenges, including any changes to my ability to meet these terms or conditions or continue participating in the program.
- Connect with a member of the CPSA Executive Team if my mentor is no longer engaging with me.
- Understand that the nature of this program is academic and professional and that it is not your responsibility or role to provide/or ask for personal support outside of the purposes of this program.
- Understand that you do not need to agree to do anything that makes you feel disrespected, or uncomfortable, or that is outside of your role.
- Recognize that the content of this Mentorship Program and the opinions shared are not a reflection of the University of British Columbia, its officers, executives, members, students outside of this program, directors, or employees.
