Want to Volunteer or Observe in our classrooms?
We welcome volunteers to help support our students! If you're interested, please fill out the Volunteer@AISD form, agree to a background check, and wait for approval.

Safety First:
To keep our students safe, we check everyone's background, including volunteers. [See Texas Education Code 22.083(a)(b), Board policy GKG Legal].

Volunteer Protection:
Education Code 22.053 states, "A Volunteer who is serving as a direct service volunteer in the district is immune from civil liability, to the same extent as a professional employee of school district under Section 22.051.

Confidentiality:
The information obtained by the district concerning criminal background history remains confidential.
