2023 Latin Builder Day - 6th Grade Sign Up
Below you will find the course options and descriptions for 6th grade. Please select your top 3 options. You will get at least one of your choices. One purpose of the day is to try things you may never have tried before, so you will most likely get placed in 1 class you did not sign up for.

#1. Crochet is the rage! Learn to Crochet with Ms. R-C and Ms. Steenveld 
 Learn how to use a needle and yarn to create some amazing creations! Check out some samples here

#2 Let’s Go To the Playground - Circuit Playground with 8th Grade Students
Have you ever wondered how your phone or other smart objects can respond to movement, touch, and sound? Mr. Stone will show you how to program an all in one board called the Circuit Playground to do all of those things and have the next great Shark Tank idea! Check out what you can do here

#3 Beep, Bop, Boop!  Basic Arduino with US Students
Learn how to use an arduino (a circuit board) that can be programmed to take inputs through sensors and respond with certain outputs (like lights, and noises). Program your arduino to make it unique! Check out an example here

#4 Buttons Galore and More - Ms. Hellenbrand
Do you have a favorite sports team, musician, TV show, or hobby? We're sure you do, but do you have a BUTTON for it?? Probably not! Learn how to design and create your own customized buttons in this cool class! Check out tools and samples here

#5 Wearables - Friendship & Survival bracelets with 8th graders
Learn how to make various friendship and survival bracelets that you can wear, share, give, and trade! See examples here

#6 Checkmate! Build an origami chess board with Mr. Hurley
Learn how to create chess pieces using origami! Once those pieces are created, you'll play chess! Check it out!
