2026 Local Working Group Survey - Middle Park Conservation District

Every year, the Middle Park Conservation District and the Kremmling NRCS Field Office conduct a local survey to better understand:
• Current resource concerns,
• Funding priorities for local producers,
• Barriers to conservation project implementation,
• Requests for trainings or demonstration projects,
• Adopt/ identify new technologies and practices,
• Collect local success stories,
• And more...

The Middle Park Conservation District is a political subdivision of the State of Colorado formed under the Colorado Soil Conservation Act of 1937. Our office is located in Kremmling, but our area encompasses all of Grand and Summit Counties. Our mission is to promote the wise use and sustainability of land, soil, water, air, wildlife and related natural resources for the benefit of all. www.middleparkcd.com 

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), formerly known as the Soil Conservation Service (SCS), is an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that provides technical assistance to farmers and other private landowners and managers. www.nrcs.usda.gov/state-offices/colorado

Are there an emerging natural resource concerns you believe need to be addressed that MPCD, NRCS, and no other local agencies/organizations are currently addressing?
What is the Kremmling NRCS and MPCD Office doing well with respect to conservation practice delivery and service?  What can be improved?
NRCS is looking for producers to participate in round table meetings (appx. 1 hour) to advise the agency on updates to conservation practice standard and specifications. Would you like to be a Grand/Summit County Representative?
