Candidates must present evidence of good character, good scholarship, and aptitude for college.
The recipients of the scholarships must enroll as full time students at a Missouri college or university in preparation for the teaching profession. Upon proof of enrollment, a check for $500 will be issued to the registrar of the college.
Full and explicit answers to all questions on the application are necessary. There will be no interviews of the student applicants selected.
The completed applications should be returned to the school counselor or principal by March 1, 2019, in order to allow time for consideration by the local CTA for submission to Central Region by March 15, 2019.

The local CTA will collect the applications from the school counselor or principal in order to select one for submission to Central Region. Each CTA may submit only one student application, which must be verified by the CTA President. If the selected applicant is a member of the Future Teachers of America, the sponsor of the organization must also sign the application for the student to be considered for the FTA Student Scholarship.
