Which of the Four Conferences are the best fit? *
Please refer to for the description of all four conferences. A talk will be accepted to only one of the four. Here's a rough guide. Scala By the Bay is a classic two-day conference on software engineering centered on functional programming. Big Data Scala showcases data pipelines with the SMACK stack (Akka, Kafka, Spark and friends) and the flow of data engineering into data science. Twitter OSS focuses on the Finagle stack, Summingbird, Manhattan, Heron, and all the other amazing OSS technologies from Twitter (not just Scala!). Startup Technology is the full-stack treatment of a modern software engineering setup, with key questions of devops, backend, and front-end all built, deployed, and working in harmony.
