Folsom Lacrosse Player Eligibility Petition
Folsom Lacrosse Association requires a petitioning process for any player that desires to play in an age group that is outside of their current age bracket. US Lacrosse has invested quite a bit of time and resources into determining appropriate age brackets for a players physical and mental development and Folsom Lacrosse believes strongly in adhering to the US Lacrosse guidelines. If petitioning to play up, the player (in addition to other factors) should be in the top 3rd of the team in which he/she is submitting to play up on.

The Player Eligibility petition is a 2 step process. Once the petition is submitted, the FLA eligibility committee will determine if they agree that the players should play up/down. If FLA approves, then a petition is submitted by the club president to the NCJLA for their approval. The NCJLA reviews petitions on a monthly basis (typically the second week of each month). For a quicker response, please ensure that your petition is submitted by the 1st of each month so FLA can submit the NCJLA petition by the 10th of the month. For more information on eligibility please review the NCJLA eligibility section of the NCJLA Operations Manual (
