Please use the form below to request a group Red Watch Band training for your organization/group/team.
What is the Red Watch Band Bystander Intervention Training?
Red Watch Band provides Northwestern students with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and intervene effectively in an alcohol-related medical emergency. The 90-minute training aims to give members of your organization/group/team the confidence to do the right thing when a person's life could depend on it.
Participants will learn:
- How alcohol affects our physiology and behavior
- Signs and symptoms of alcohol poisoning
- What to do if someone you know experiences an alcohol emergency; and
- The truth behind common alcohol-related myths
A minimum of 3 weeks advance notice is required from the date you wish to hold your program. We will begin programs no later than 7pm.
*At this time, we will only hold group programming in large, neutral spaces such as classrooms. We will NOT go into houses or residence locations to provide these programs. Your group is responsible for finding and reserving large enough spaces with access to technology after a date and time is solidified between your group and HPaW. The ability to accommodate your group by any required or ideal timelines will be based entirely on the ability to access appropriate space. Thanks!
