An 3-day institute for faculty working to implement AB 705 Application Deadline: April 13, 2018
Program Overview
AB 705 requires that we maximize a student's chances of completing transfer-level courses in English and math in one year (3 years for students in credit ESL) by increasing placement directly into transfer-level courses and offering corequisite models at the transfer level. This institute is designed to help your college get ready for the Fall 2019 deadline for full implementation, including:

Support from faculty from colleges that have already implemented the changes required by AB 705

Nuts and bolts information about corequisite remediation

Hands-on sample classroom activities to support students while broadening access to the transfer level, Time for faculty to work together on action plans

Application Information
Before completing this application, please refer to the documents that contain all requested information on CAP's website

If you are applying in more than one discipline (English, math, ESL), please submit a separate application for each.

Each disciplinary team should include a minimum of three faculty from the college or district.

The registration fee of $350/person covers training, materials, and some meals during the institute.

After we review applications, you will receive an email from with an Eventbrite registration link and additional hotel, location, and payment information. Sometimes our emails are blocked by college email servers -- if you do not hear from us by Friday, April 27, please email CAP Central.

Once accepted, each team member will need to register individually through Eventbrite.
