GOALS

Provide financial assistance to a Delaware student currently in the study of agriculture who is pursuing an education at a secondary level. (see eligibility below)
Availability:
One scholarship in the amount of $4,000 to be awarded for the fall semester to a student pursuing a secondary education in agricultural education.

Criteria for Eligibility:
Residency: Delaware
School: Graduating senior or collegiate FFA member; currently attending or have attended a Delaware high school enrolled in an agriscience pathway.
High School GPA: A 3.0 grade point average during the high school years. Evidenced by submitting an official transcript.
College: Must be accepted to and enrolled in a secondary educational facility. Acceptance documentation with name and address of school must be submitted.
Character: Applicant must be of good character and active member of their chapter FFA.
Essay:
Applicant must include no more than a one page-TYPED essay on how he/she plans to impact students as an agriscience educator. Essay should be double spaced, on 8 1/2” x 11” white bond paper. Body of the essay must have 1’ margins. Font size must be 12 point using Arial or other sans serif font. (Times New Roman, Cambri, Calibri, etc)
Video:
Applicant must include no more than a 90 second video on one of the following topics: FFA, agriscience education, or current agriculture news/event. Be creative! Videos can be submitted as a link to a YouTube channel.
References: Two personal reference letters are required – one must be from the agriscience / FFA advisor verifying all above criteria.
