Stakeholder Input on How to Include Social Emotional Skills and Culture Climate Surveys into the Index

In Fall 2016 (utilizing surveys administered in Winter and Spring 2016), the CORE Districts will add measures of Social Emotional Skills and Culture-Climate Surveys to the School Quality Improvement Index. The CORE Districts conducted a field test of these measures in Spring 2015. The CORE Districts have landed on the final instruments that will be used in Winter/Spring 2016. Left to decide is how to incorporate these measures into the Index. To learn more about the School Quality Improvement Index, please visit http://coredistricts.org/core-index/.

In this feedback survey, we ask for stakeholder input on three topics:

1. What are our minimum participation expectations for students, staff and families on the survey instruments?

2. Should we look at skill by skill/topic by topic indicators on the Index or “composite” culture-climate and/or social-emotional skills metrics?

3. How should we distribute the weight for these indicators?
