Roles & Responsibilities:
BASECAMP LEADER: -ideally, this position is filled by 1-2 volunteers who are available at the CCC most of the day, all week-The Basecamp Lead is responsible for understanding all the in’s & out’s of logistics at Basecamp. You will introduce new volunteers to those currently in the role so they can learn the responsibilities & fill in gaps as needed. You will also direct & assist volunteers & work directly with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure a smooth experience at Basecamp for volunteers, guests & presenters.
FLOATERAlthough Basecamp will be your homebase, you might be required to jump in & assist other venues as the need arises. You will be responsible for handling anything and everything that the Basecamp Lead needs such as helping the speakers get set up, alerting guests to session start times and filling in gaps as needed.
CHECK-IN:You will be the face of Startup Week, helping all sessions to run smoothly by greeting & checking in guests & speakers. You will be responsible for answering questions & directing guests to the right places. You will also help to “train” the person taking the shift after you.
HOSPITALITY & CHECK IN: AMAlong with all the responsibilities of check in, you will have the essential task of helping caffeinate Startup week attendees! Prior to your shift, you will be picking up our coffee & pastry order from Mugs at 7:30am and delivering it to Basecamp.
HOSPITALITY & CHECK IN: PMAlong with all the responsibilities of check in, you will have the essential task of helping caffeinate Startup week attendees! After your shift, you will be dropping off our coffee & pastry serving ware to Mugs so that they can fill us up for the next day. ***Important Dates***-Monday, February 19th (3:30pm-6:30pm)- Mandatory Orientation (open house style // come for 30 minutes in between 3:30pm-6:30pm)-February 26th-March 2nd- Startup Week-Sunday, February 25th & Saturday, March 3rd- Set Up & Teardown
