1. Environmental Theme

This section evaluates your management of environmental resources and impact. We examine how you handle raw materials, waste, energy, various forms of pollution, and your local impact.

1.1 How do you approach raw materials and/or waste management? *
The management of raw materials entails setting up a system that manages your controlled use, but also the reduction, reviews, recycling, recovery and disposal of waste generated during the product or service life cycle. For service companies, waste management can include office waste and food waste.
1.2 What is your approach to energy management?

The purpose is to reduce energy consumption costs and its environmental impact without compromising comfort or productivity and achieving energy efficiency. Good strategies make you more productive and less vulnerable to changes in energy-supply costs.

Sustainable management of water within the organization or business aims to increase water use efficiency (essential resource) and reduce contamination of running water and groundwater (shared resource).

This question seeks to identify initiatives you have taken to reduce GHG emissions, primarily on facility emissions (buildings, machinery and processes) and transport emissions (employees, supply, and distribution).

Equity evaluates whether you’re fair with regard to employment; whether you provide fair treatment to all of your employees and not discriminate in terms of culture, gender, etc. Inclusion refers to the degree to which individuals from historically disadvantaged groups are able to participate fully in the decision-making processes. While a truly inclusive group is necessarily diverse, a diverse group may or may not be inclusive.

4. General Theme

Values guide the attitudes and behaviours of all your collaborators.

Strategy is the fundamental frame of reference from which an organization or business can maintain continuity while voluntarily managing its adaptation to a changing environment in order to have a competitive advantage.
