The Multnomah Neighborhood Association (MNA) was recently approved for sponsorship money to fund civic engagement and a safety-focused place-making art projects in highly traveled pedestrian areas of Multnomah Neighborhood (e.g., street intersection mural). We're hosting a series of events through August 2023 that bring a diverse cross section of our community together to work on neighborhood art/place-making projects that also center the voices of artist(s) from historically undeserved communities in SW Portland. An education component making it possible to share information with residents about pedestrian safety and connect them with local government (e.g., PBOT) to help them know how to have their voice heard when it comes to walking, biking and rolling in SW Portland.
