Mentor Recruitment
PASOS is a mentorship program to help UW-Madison Chican@ & Latin@ Studies (CLS) Program students explore and consider their goals post-graduation, the potential for graduate school, understand the process of application and imagine the possibilities! Drawing on the energy and expertise of those currently pursuing higher education, Latine- and other graduate students serve as mentors.

PASOS goals are to provide collaborative culturally-affirming mentoring:
  • Help mentees clarify values and potential to pursue graduate school
  • Brainstorm options that best fit their needs and future goals
  • Mentors share their own journey: challenges and overcoming
  • Develop an academic familia (family) and network of support
