My name is Tracie Q. Gilbert, and I’m getting ready to complete my PhD in Human Sexuality Studies. My dissertation is on the lived experience of sexuality among African Americans. I want to help answer the question, “What does it mean to be Black and sexy in the 21st Century?”, and I'm reaching out to you as someone who may qualify as each of the following:
• Identifying as African-American or of African-American descent• Over 18 years of age, • English-speaking, and• Someone who thinks about sex
If you meet these four items, consider being part of my study! For a 30-45 minute videotaped interview, you could possibly win either one $50 Visa card, or one $100 donation to the non-profit or charity organization of your choice. All interviews will be conducted in person, at a mutually agreed upon location.
Your participation is entirely voluntary, although doing so would provide invaluable information to the field of sex education on serving African American communities. If you’re interested, please complete the form below, and I will follow up with you within 48 hours to share full study details, and to arrange an interview.
Any questions? Shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This study is approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Widener University. Thanks in advance for your consideration! Look forward to talking with you.
