2026 Summer Camp Staff/Volunteer Interest Form 
We're looking forward to two weeks of camp this summer: Monday June 8 - Friday June 12 (Showcase Saturday June 13) and Monday June 22 - Friday June 26 (Showcase Saturday June 27). We need all hands on deck to make this happen! If you're interested but have limited availability, that's ok! Let us know what you are available for and we'll slot you in where it works.

With nation-wide attacks on arts and public services and losses of key grants needed to fund the organization, Rock Camp does not have the funds to pay volunteers this summer. Are you willing to donate your time to Rock Camp? *

We are still working to schedule the volunteer training for the first weekend of June. What's your availability for the weekend of June 5-7? Can you hold Saturday June 6th as the tentative volunteer orientation date? *
Because this is our first summer at Oakland Tech this volunteer training is mandatory for all volunteers, even if you attended last year. 
This training will be in 2 parts: 
Part 11-2:30: is liberatory practices: discussing how power and oppression show up at camp, and running through scenarios. We will take a lunch break at some point during this section.
Part 2 3-5:30: is a facilitation training for working with youth, a tour of the space, a basic gear training, and meeting about curriculum with co-instructors (if you are teaching an instrument).

Please be aware that we sign up staff/volunteers/campers til the first day of camp, so we may not have your co-instructor/band leader assigned in advance!

I understand that Bay Area Girls Rock Camp will involve activities such as but not limited to a loud environment, self-defense exercises, active group games, electrical equipment as well as heavy equipment and objects. I fully accept and assume all such risks and all responsibility for losses, costs and damages that may occur as a result of my participation in Bay Area Girls Rock Camp activities.  I also understand that in case of emergency, accident, illness or other incapacity occurring while at Bay Area Girls Rock Camp, Bay Area Girls Rock Camp will respond to such incidents by seeking reasonable care including treatment by medical professionals and hospital admittance, if necessary.
