**A Midsummer Night’s Kickass Dream**
directed by Ann Lambert

The Dawson Theatre Collective brings a new twist to one of Shakespeare’s most popular and performed plays. Cultural clashes and romantic mayhem abound in this hilarious play from Montreal playwright Ann Lambert, with contributions from the entire Collective. A Midsummer Night’s Kickass Dream tells the story of a college theatre club that is attempting to put on a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Salma, the girl playing the lover Hermia, comes from a strict and traditional family. Much to the outrage of her parents, she finds herself falling for the "wrong" boy playing Demetrius. Romance blooms and bursts among the rest of the student actors, leading to some...surprising pairings. Life slowly begins to mirror art and as show time draws near for the lovestruck cast, problems are coming to a head.
