Area and availability
1. This service will be available to schools throughout the country. Teachers who register must be available for substitute work and should indicate the counties within which they are willing to take up positions.

2. The teacher must keep the ASTI updated as to the teacher's current availablity. The Substitute Placement Register recommences each August and teachers should advise if they wish to remain on the register for each school year.
