Jack Buchheit Interchapter Travel Award
The purpose of this award is to promote increased communication among our chapters and colonies. The Award will be based on the following criteria:
Points are awarded for mileage driven/flown from home chapter to chapter visited (1 mile = 1 point);
Mileage will be counted One Way only;
If more than one chapter is visited on the same trip: First chapter visited, follow the above rules. Second chapter visited, mileage will be the difference between those two visited.
For example: if WVU visits Temple [610 miles away in Philadelphia] and then visits Drexel [also in Philly, 5 miles away from Temple], WVU would receive 610 points for trip to Temple and an additional 5 points for the trip across town to Drexel;
Points are awarded per man. Therefore, if 3 men made the above mentioned trip from WVU to Temple to Drexel, the chapter would received 1845 points (3 x 610 plus 3 x 5);
Contest is open to all Pilam chapters and colonies.
Competition runs from one National Gathering to one month prior to the next National Gathering. Points will be tabulated and compiled by the International Headquarters Staff.
