TEACH Outside the Box 2019-2020 Registration
TEACH Outside the Box is a unique opportunity for teacher candidates, community educators, and those interested in social justice education! As part of this certificate and alternative settings placement program, you will:

- Participate in a workshop series (1 workshop per month, 5 workshops total)
- Participate in an alternative community-based practicum
- Explore theories of anti-oppression from global and Indigenous perspective
- Develop tools to integrate critical education into active learning spaces
- Create your own social justice toolkit so you have lesson plans that you can use in your teaching practice

Please note that this program requires either 40 hour or 75 hour (with community placement) commitment between October 2019 and April 2020 (if you choose NOT to do a community-based placement, the workshop series involves a 40 hour commitment). Orientation is October 8th, 2019 from 6-8pm at Trent University.

Registration is limited. There is a $40 application fee that goes toward covering program costs and refreshments. Should this application fee create a barrier to you applying, please contact the program liaison at teachpeterborough@gmail.com.
