Whiskers Fund Adoption Application
  1. The Whiskers Fund mission is to better the life of an animal in need. We are fully committed to finding the best home possible for an animal and stand by every animal we save through our rescue for its entire life. All vetting is always completed (age appropriately) before going to their ‘furever’ home as it is very important to us that you and your new fur family member start off the best way possible. Our pets are like family and we expect our adopters to view them that way as well. We look forward to welcoming you to our family. Please send completed applications back to whiskersfunds@gmail.com for approval.

Incomplete applications will not be processed. All questions are required to be answered.

Whiskers Fund Mission Statement Key Points: 1) We do everything for the betterment of the animals we save. Everything we do and how we do it is for them. 2) We put their best interests first. 3) We are a small rescue, but we work FAST. 4) We send animals home fully vetted (age appropriately), and do not adopt out before they are ready. 5) All of these points mean, we do not place animals on hold. If we discuss an animal, and you move through the approval process, you understand that if your timeline isn't in the animals best interest, (weeks, moths, etc out...) we will adopt them else where (if another suitable, safe and acceptable option is available). Once you are approved, we work to make your adoption finalized within a matter of days - at most. *

Where would the animal be when you are not home? Crated, loose in the house, have its own room, or outside?
Have you or anyone else in the household ever taken an animal you owned to a shelter or animal control to be surrendered? If yes, please explain.
Have you or anyone else in your household ever been accused, charged or convicted of animal cruelty, neglect, dog fighting or related charges? If yes please explain.

Cats and Dogs sometimes even after living together for years ultimately can turn to prey and predator... Working in rescue unfortunately we do see it. We require our adopters to keep dogs and cats in separate areas of the home when no is home. Do you understand the seriousness of this and will you follow our requests through the lifetime of your adopted Whiskers Fund animal?

FIP is a disease that can strike even perfectly healthy cats. THERE IS A CURE. We require our adopters to contact us immediately if your cat is diagnosed, and we do not allow euthanasia due to FIP without our founder and her specialists reviewing the case. Do you understand and agree?
