PROJECT PLOUTOS - SURVEY OF THIRD-COUNTRY NATIONALS

The PLOUTOS project – “Cooperation for achieving third country nationals’ financial independence through financial literacy tools and entrepreneurship bootcamps” aims to improve third country nationals’ access to financial services via:

- a course on financial literacy and sustainability supported by a relevant language course;
- a course on community interpreting offered to people already offering this service without having had any professional training (including migrants residing in the host country for more than 3 years, second generation, employees of financial service providers and NGOs);
- practice business programme enabling practical training of third country nationals in applying their financial literacy skills on the job.

The multi-stakeholder consortium of 11 project partners from 7 EU member states (Sweden, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Belgium, Croatia, Bulgaria) includes 2 universities, 2 SMEs, 1 banking & 1 microfinance associations, 1 pubic authority representative and 4 NGOs. Project coordinator is the Swedish research institution Hogskolan I Halmstad; Sofia Development Association is the Bulgarian project partner. The project duration is 3 years – from November 2021 to October 2024.

This questionnaire seeks to analyse the current situation and barriers for TCNs and identify the support needed.

DATA PROTECTION AND CONFIDENTIALITY

1. Confidentiality
All responses will be completely anonymous. No personal identifying information or IP addresses will be collected during the survey. All information and data collected will be used in aggregated form only, and solely for the purposes of the PLOUTOS project.

2. Protection of personal data
All project partners shall abide by the European personal data protection legislation, irrespective of the country in which the survey is performed. The relevant legal framework for collection, processing, and storage of personal data on EU level includes.
• Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR);
• Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 and Decision No 1247/2002/EC.
• Regulation (EU) 2019/788 on the European citizens’ initiative.
• Commission Regulation (EU) 611/2013 on the measures applicable to the notification of personal data breaches under Directive 2002/58/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on privacy and electronic communications.
• Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector.
• Directive on Data Protection in Police and Criminal Justice Activities (Directive (EU) 2016/680).

INFORMED CONSENT DECLARATION
