The more you can share the better as we vet each applicant for each trip. Not everyone who fills out an interest form will be admitted.

These are not "vacations," and they're not for everyone and that's okay. If you're looking for a leisurely, all-inclusive, resort-style escape, our trips are not for you and that's okay. If you prefer an auto-pilot travel experience focused on servitude and continuous accommodation, our trips are not for you and that's okay. If you're looking for surface-level, performance of Black aesthetics instead of actual connection in community, our trips are not for you and that's okay.
Our journeys invite you to think deeply, reflect, unlearn, do your own work, re-imagine what's possible, and, yes, to play and experience intentional community. Mutual aid, completion of our recorded course "Black Latin American History and Contemporary Topics" and monthly group meetings are required commitments for all participants.
