“Monuments by A’raelle Flynn-Bolden is a three-part play that champions care and community in the face of unyielding oppression. The play puts us in the room with Lucy, Anarcha, and Betsey, three enslaved Black women who endured un-anesthetized experimentation at the hands of the “father” of gynecology, J. Marion Sims.

This play contains references to medical and sexual violence
