Marcia specializes in supporting youth and families throughout Northern California. She has decades of experience supporting adolescents, teens, Transitional Age Youth (TAYs 16-28), and their families who are struggling with anything that is negatively impacting their lives, including stress/overwhelm, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, self-harm and thoughts of suicide.
We know young people (and those who are raising them) are really struggling right now. We're seeing increased loneliness, stress, anxiety, depression, hopelessness & despair. This results in challenges with relationships, school, jobs and just life in general!
Marcia utilizes strength-based, positive psychology techniques, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, & Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to teach her clients how to “retrain their brain” and find a variety of coping strategies they can implement while trying to manage times when they are struggling.
