Biodiversity Photographer of the Year Photo Submission Form
Terms and Conditions
- All photographs must be taken in the month of May 2018 in Ireland and sent in before 31st May at midnight.
- 5 photo per submission.
- 1 submission per photographer.
- All entries must include a valid email address.
- Photographs to be entered into the ‘Biodiversity Photographer of the Year’ should be NO smaller than 3,600 pixels on the shortest side and the overall size has no upper limit.
- Files must be in JPEG format, with 100% quality.
- Photographers may make reasonable use of digital darkroom type techniques which enhance quality but do not distort the photograph. Only minor burning, dodging and/or colour correction is acceptable, as is cropping. High dynamic range images (HDR) and stitched panoramas are NOT acceptable. Any changes to the original Photograph not itemized here are unacceptable and will render the Photograph ineligible for a prize.
- When a photograph(s) is submitted and entry finalised the entry cannot be changed or edited.
- The photograph(s) must be consistent with the theme of ‘Celebrating 25 Years of Action for Biodiversity’’.

We interpret this as relating to:

a. How action for Biodiversity has changed over the past 25 years

b. The achievements of actions taken in the past 25 years

c. Reflecting on the past 25 year to develop new action goals for Biodiversity

d. Develop an understanding of the importance of sustainable goals, traditional practices or knowledge relating to Biodiversity

e. Developing people’s understanding the importance and/or fragility of Biodiversity threatened over the past 25 years

f. Celebrating Biodiversity in all its forms
