Marble as Material: Live Session with Artist Peter Oakley
Thursday, March 12
Join us live from the Bacchus exhibition gallery with NCMA objects conservator, Corey Riley, and North Carolina artist, Peter Oakley, as they discuss marble from scientific and artistic perspectives. Designed for high school students, this interactive program will provide participants with the opportunity to ask their own questions and hear directly from the experts.
While all grade levels are welcome to participate, this program has been designed for students grades 9-12. By registering in advance, you’ll receive a confirmation message giving you links to classroom resources and the link to the videoconferencing event.
Registration is free! To register, fill out the form below.
This program is made possible by the NCMA Connects grant from the William R. Kenan Charitable Trust.
I WILL attend the live session on March 12
I CANNOT attend the live session on March 12 but would like to receive a link to archived footage following the event.
