After two years of collaborative work involving fishers, civil society, scientists, and actors across the seafood value chain, we are excited to present a shared Vision for a just transition toward low-impact and fair fisheries in Europe.
The event, hosted by MEP Thomas Bajada, will present and discuss a new model for organising, conducting, and supporting Europe’s diverse fisheries. Together with representatives of EU institutions, national fisheries ministries, fishing communities, and citizens, we will assess pathways to foster low-impact fisheries in order to advance environmental sustainability and to enhance the social and economic resilience of coastal communities.
