Mentor Application Semester 1 2019
Ignite Mentoring supports high school students from low socioeconomic backgrounds to develop soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication and problem solving. Through gaining these skills, students increase their self-confidence and resilience, allowing them to reach their full potential.

WHAT DO MENTORS DO?
Mentors attend weekly, regular classes in small groups at schools around Perth. The role of a mentor involves engaging with students as a positive role model and leading fun, hands-on activities designed to help students develop these valuable life skills.

WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
Ten weekly, hour long classes will run through Semester 1, 2019 from March 11-June 1st. You will be able to indicate which regular class time slot you will be available to attend if successful in your application. The role of a mentor takes up approximately three hours per week (1 hr class + max 2 hr travel).

If you're an enthusiastic leader looking to empower students to be their best- we want you to mentor with us in Semester 1, 2019! Please fill out the following information so that we can assess your application and if successful, interviews for new mentors will occur at the start of Semester 1. Returning mentors will not be required to attend an interview.

Summary of Mentor Role Requirements:
- Mentor students and empower them with skills for life
- 3 hours, regular weekly commitment
- New mentors will have an interview in Week 2 of Semester 1
- Compulsory mentor training day- Sunday March 10th
