Junior Docent Application
AT THIS TIME WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING NEW APPLICANTS. YOU WILL BE INFORMED ONCE WE RESUME THIS PROGRAM.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Junior Docent at Historic London Town & Gardens!

Junior Docents volunteer with weekend living history programs. They learn and demonstrate colonial-era skills such as hearth cooking and woodworking and are expected to talk with and engage with visitors on site. They are encouraged, but not required, to wear colonial-style clothing (provided by Historic London Town).

Applicants will have an interview with a staff member and will be asked to spend some time observing before committing to becoming a Junior Docent.

During our season (March through December), Junior Docents may volunteer on Saturdays (all day or half days) or on Sunday afternoons. They are expected to volunteer at least five times each year and are welcome to volunteer more often if they wish.
