EDAM's 2020 On The Road Host Application

If you've answered 'yes' to any of the questions above, you're invited to submit your idea for hosting an EDAM "On the Road" in 2020!!!
EDAM is excited to present the 2nd annual "On the Road". We are currently seeking communities interested in hosting a 1st Tuesday event in their town on July 7, 2020.
What does the community need to do?
-- Organize a relevant program with a confirmed and engaging speaker, or speakers.
-- Articulate learning objectives for the event. Explain what participants will learn or take away from the event.
-- Secure an event venue and local caterer.
-- Help promote the event to regional stakeholders (EDA professionals and board members, Chambers of Commerce, etc).
-- Provide onsite/day-of staffing for program implementation
EDAM will provide registration support (online and day-of), process finances related to the event, and promote the event.
What is the timeline?
-- February 28: Deadline for communities to submit an entry
-- March 1-7: EDAM U Committee will review applications and select a community at the March meeting
-- March 8-20: Selected community is alerted, program confirmed
-- March 20-April 30: EDAM sets up registration, prepares for marketing
-- April 30: Announce and begin promoting
The EDAM U Committee is particularly interested in programs related to this years theme of "economic development in times of change." Extra points will be awarded to proposed programs incorporating fun and creative concepts.
